Venice is a Sound

Venice is an analogue journey. This project explores the city not simply as a place, but as a moment layered in time — where the texture of film meets the depth the of space. In a world shaped by digital immediacy, Venice remains a rare analogue environment: a city that invites slowness, observation, and presence.

Through the celluloid process, I engage with Venice as it offers itself, much as it has for centuries. Venice is a sound, a rhythm — a preserved reality where photographing the city becomes more than documentation; it becomes a form of listening.

This project is ongoing, as the city invites me in and holds me there for periods of time, the process is slow, our friendship unfolds deepening each time.
